In our journey towards excellence in Sustainability, this role reporting to the Head of Sustainability will develop and define the path forward in terms of sustainability compliance, reporting and content for communication starting with understanding and sharing regulations requirements, supporting customers through their compliance needs and developing precise and comprehensive reporting in line with CSRD or other local and global legislation.
JOBDESCRIPTION
- Know, understand and share internally the different EU, US and other relevant national legislation influencing the promotional textile industry, mostly for related matters to sustainability.-
- Translate the legislations requirements into business needs and take leadership to develop transversal action plans not only to comply with the legislative requirements, but also to consolidate Stanley Stella sustainability leadership in the promotional textile industry
- Lead CSRD requirements towards 2026 reporting, including involving the relevant stakeholders, developing the double materiality matrix, supporting the development of the sustainability strategy and action plan and reporting according to the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
- Develop proposals and follow up implementation of the action plan including policies setting per material topic, reflecting the opportunities identified and translating them into concrete targets, actions, responsibilities and key milestones
- Understand, review and propose the best approach for Stanley Stella in terms of labels and memberships or partnerships
- Support customers in their needs to comply with legislations including knowledge sharing, responding to requests and questionnaires or clarifying special requests
- Support sustainability communication content in line with Green Claims Directive while reflecting Stanley Stella sustainability leadership, including supporting the communication team with relevant and concrete actions related to all areas of sustainability at all steps of the value chain
YOUR PROFILE
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the textile/fashion industry
- Master’s degree in a business related domain
- Excellent communication skills
- Entrepreneur mindset in a fast-changing, rapidly growing company
- Fluent in English, French or Dutch is a plus
- A good practical knowledge and strong interest in EU and other legislation, mainly those impacting the textile industry
- A strong understanding and expertise in CSRD reporting, including double materiality process and policies building, ideally in the textile industry
- Strong professional skills and able to bring various departments and interests together into transversal projects
- Project management and organisational skills, sound business understanding with good ability in prioritizing, organizing & motivating
- Customer mindset, able to understand and react to specific needs and requests as well as to represent the sustainability team on specific requests
- High level of flexibility and adaptation to any changing needs and other requirements and/or tasks in a growing environment
- Good understanding of sustainability topics in the textile industry including knowledge of the certifications and memberships environment as well as appropriate acquaintance to communication sensitivity for sustainability related topics
