The introduction of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for textiles is gradually entering a new phase. In this context, Retexbel is organising a webinar for companies that are members of the three founding federations Creamoda, Fedustria and Comeos. During this webinar, we will provide an update on recent developments and help you better understand the practical implications for your company.
We will discuss the current state of the regulatory framework and the discussions with the competent authorities. In addition, we will present the latest information on Retexbel’s recognition and the next steps in rolling out the system in Belgium. We will also explain the declarations and the principles for contributions, so that you can prepare as effectively as possible.
The webinar will focus on three main topics:
1. Update on the legal framework
We will discuss recent developments regarding EPR for textiles, the work with the competent authorities, Retexbel’s recognition process and the expected next steps.
2. Practical information for companies
This section will focus on the practical implementation of EPR for textiles from a company perspective. We will explain what information you will need to declare and how the declarations will be made. We will also explain the principles that will form the basis for calculating the financial contributions.
3. Questions and answers (FAQ)
We will conclude the session with an open discussion to address companies’ questions and specific concerns. To prepare this session as effectively as possible, we invite you to send us your questions in advance, by 6 November at the latest. This will allow us to provide the most concrete and accurate answers possible during the webinar.
