De richtlijn voorzag onder meer s<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">pecifieke regels voor milieuclaims en m<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">inimale vereisten voor de onderbouwing en communicatie van vrijwillige milieuclaims en labels.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Vandaag is het dossier echter vastgelopen: hoewel het niet officieel is ingetrokken, is er <span style=\"color: #004b8c;\"><strong>geen vooruitgang<\/strong><\/span> en blijft het onzeker wanneer dit dossier zal verder gezet worden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #b22222;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">De focus verschuift: Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Diretive (ECGTD)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In afwachting van de Green Claims Directive richt de Europese Unie zich op een andere wetgeving: de Richtlijn tot versterking van de positie van de consument voor de groene transitie <strong><span style=\"color: #004b8c;\">(Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive &#8211; font-size: 8pt;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/eli\/dir\/2024\/825\/oj\">Richtlijn &#8211; EU &#8211; 2024\/825 &#8211; EN &#8211; EUR-Lex<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Vanaf <span style=\"color: #004b8c;\"><strong>27 september 2026 <\/strong><\/span>zal de richtlijn van toepassing zijn en afdwingbaar zijn in alle EU-lidstaten.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">ECGTD combineert wijzigingen op:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #004b8c;\">Richtlijn betreffende Consumentenrechte<\/span><span style=\"color: #004b8c;\">n<\/span><span style=\"color: #004b8c;\"> (CRD)<\/span><\/strong> (2011\/83\/CE): om handelaren te verplichten consumenten te voorzien van informatie over de duurzaamheid en repareerbaarheid van producten<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><span style=\"color: #004b8c;\"><strong>Richtlijn oneerlijke handelspraktijken (UCPD)<\/strong><\/span> (2005\/29\/CE): <em><u>nieuwe vereisten voor<\/u><\/em><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Claims over toekomstige milieuprestaties<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Vergelijkende milieuprestatieclaims<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">En introduceert <em><u>Nieuwe verboden<\/u><\/em> en updates in de bijlage I (zwarte lijst) van UCPD op:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Generieke, vage milieuclaims maken,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Het tonen van een vrijwillig duurzaamheidslabel dat niet gebaseerd is op een verificatiesysteem van derden of publieke autoriteiten,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Een milieuclaim maken over het hele product, terwijl het eigenlijk alleen een bepaald aspect van het product betreft,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Het maken van claims op basis van het compenseren van broeikasgasemissies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">=&gt; Richt zich op <strong><span style=\"color: #004b8c;\">het uitbreiden van oneerlijke handelspraktijken door greenwashing als verboden praktijk op te nemen<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">=&gt; Heeft als doel <span style=\"color: #004b8c;\"><strong>consumentenrechten te versterken en oneerlijke handelspraktijken te bestrijden.<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">De FAQ over de Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition (ECGT) Richtlijn, gepubliceerd door de Europese Commission, biedt richtlijnen en duidelijkheid over hoe bedrijven duurzaamheidsclaims, etikettering en communicatie op de EU-markt moeten benaderen. Dit geldt ook voor je concurrenten, die je kunnen aanklagen wegens oneerlijke concurrentie bij vage claims.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #b22222;\"><strong>Wat met huidige producten?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Vanaf 27 september 2026 moeten alle milieuclaims en duurzaamheidslabels, inclusief die op <span style=\"color: #004b8c;\"><strong>bestaande<\/strong><\/span> producten, voldoen aan de nieuwe regels.
