Who is Slabbinck?
Kunstateliers Slabbinck is a Bruges-based family business that has been designing and creating liturgical vestments in its own workshops for four generations. From (re)designing patterns to cutting fabrics and using both traditional and innovative embroidery techniques. Craftsmanship in its purest form.
+ Slabbinck, member of Creamoda, secures a prestigious contract
The liturgical designers have secured a particularly prestigious commission, and not for the first time. Being niche pays off, as they have been given the honour of fully designing and creating a vestment and mitre for Pope Leo XIV and 200 bishops. As the owners of Slabbinck themselves state, their designs are always original and the fabrics are woven exclusively for them. The entire artisanal and forward-thinking process they use, from cutting to embroidery, makes their work high-quality, unique and authentic. They still owe us the design, but you can already get a glimpse of the embroidery in the photo above. The complete vestments will be worn during the closing celebration of the papal visit in Metz (France).
